Many years ago I purchased a four pack of location tags for keys and such. I dutifully attached these to various keyrings that could be lost. I regularly tested them in case the battery ran low. I never had to replace the batteries. And then I got a little complacent. I stopped testing as frequently as I did before (it was once a month, then once every two months, then once in a while). I have gone through a number of batteries for my phone, always looking for either something better or something that works (preferably both). When I moved from my Samsung Note 5 to a Samsung Galaxy S8, I needed something that would provide USB-C connectivity instead of the standard micro-USB connector. Although the S8 comes with a converter, it isn’t quite the same. I loved my old battery, but that would no longer work. I switched to a newer battery that had a USB-C connector built in. I saw this and had to have it. First, it is just cool, it is a flashlight and a high powered penlight, what more could you want. The penlight came from Amazon and was one of their deals before prime day. It came fairly quickly and the downsides, that I see so far are that it did not come with batteries It is a little bigger than your average pen
